Dr. Allan K. Patch

Dr. Patch always thought that he would have a career as an artist. An interest in science blended well with this passion and a career in dentistry was born. He attended Boston College and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, graduating with a D.M.D. in 1982. After four years with the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, Okinawa, and San Francisco, he decided to enter private practice at this location in 1986. He remained in the Naval Reserve and enjoys the retired rank of Navy Captain. Dr. Patch is detail oriented, appreciates a fine result and a pleased patient. He has a gentle touch and will go out of his way to make a new patient feel at home in a dental office family.

Cyndi

Cyndi is the newest addition to our team of caring professionals. Since she grew up with her own nervousness of going to the dentist, assisting new and current patients with their own apprehensions is her number one goal. She is one of the ladies mainly in the front that would be more than happy to schedule any appointments. With six years experience as a Registered Dental Assistant, she can also answer any questions regarding clinical treatment. She looks forward to assisting patients with their needs and hopes to create an amazing experience at your dental visit.

Patti

Patti is a Registered Dental Assistant and has been in dentistry for 36 years. She has worked in all aspects of dentistry. She does all front office work, but also works as an assistant and does lab work. She has been working for Dr. Patch for the past 19 years. Patti works primarily with your insurance to maximize patient benefits and does the financial arrangements for each patient. She has pursued a dental career before graduating high school. Now she has graduated with her Associates Degree in science to apply for dental hygiene school, in which she was accepted in 2010. One of her hobbies is jewelry making with the lost wax process and wants to have her own studio out of her home. She loves working with people, especially in the healthcare profession.

Kate

Kate is our Dental Hygienist. She knew that she wanted a career in the medical or dental field. Upon graduation from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Animal Physiology, she decided to see if she would enjoy working in the dental field. Then she attended Mesa College's Dental Assisting program. While in the program she realized how much she enjoyed dentistry and working with patients. After becoming a Registered Dental Assistant, she desired to go further with her education and become a Registered Dental Hygienist. Kate received her dental hygiene training at the University of California, San Francisco. She joined the wonderful staff at University Avenue Dental Group in 2003. Kate does her best to understand each patient's needs and wants every appointment to be a positive experience. She aims to be your partner in keeping your mouth healthy, and your smile brighter. Kate spends most of her spare time with family and her dogs. She also teaches a children's choir at her church on the weekends. Her hobbies include knitting, sewing and scrap booking.

Indira

Indira is Dr. Patch's dental assistant and his extra pair of hands. She has been dental assisting for 7 years and with the practice for 3 years. With her gentle touch and kind heart she loves making each and every patient feel comfortable while in the chair. Her activities include raising her two baby boys.
